Sala 1 is a cultural association founded in 1970 by sculptor Tito Amodei. It is concerned with experimental research in contemporary art, architecture, theatre and music.
The Galllery is a
well known space in the artistic roman contest, not only for its intense
activity, but also for the suggestive location: the Papal Sanctuary of
the Scala Santa in Saint John’s Place. The Gallery is directed by
Mary Angela Schroth with the collaboration of art historian Antonella
Pisilli and a team of experts.
