In occasion of Netizens_la libertà del post-mediale, at the Galleria Sala 1 in  Rome from 28 Dec. 2004 to 28 Gen, 2005, a Net Art international competition will be launched. Competition is open to the artists that use the Web as a creative means of expression.
This iniziative's double aim is to discover new talent and the sustain web art as an on-going creative experimentatal art form. The ban will stay open for three months (28 dec - 28 mar) and in April the winner   be named, the prize being   protagonist of a personal exhibition in Sala 1 the next year.

COMPETITION RULES

ART 1. Aim

The initiative's aim is to discover and sustain new talents in the realm of Net Art.

ART 2. Participation conditions

The contest is directed towards artists that use the Web as an artistic experimental field. Any Artist over 18 can participate.

ART 3. Sending material and description of competition

A finished project that uses Internet as a medium and the computer as creation, and is inspired by the theme "the post-medial freedom ", must arrive before March 4, 2004.   Works realized in other mediums or after this date not be accepted. The project must be sent by   E-mail (in URL form) or by ordinary mail (on cd-rom) and has to be accompained by a participation form that can be found on the site.

ART 4. Winner selection and prize

The winning project will be selected among all the works received and each project will be examined by a   jury composed of a university professor in New Media, as well as critics, artists, and curators that are involved in arts and new technologies.

Best work will be presented in a ceremony that will be held in Galleria Sala 1 in April 2005. The Winner will have the opportunity to organize   an exhibition in Sala 1 in the 2005/2006 period.

Best ten works will be put on the Netizens web site as well being part of   an on-line exhibition starting in April   2005.
